Our Community
At its core, building is about creating places for people. When you stay focused on the people at the heart of every project, you stay focused on what really matters: helping others.
At ProBuild, we believe in being a good neighbor and an active participant in each community we serve. We have long-standing relationships with several partners whose missions and values match our own. We’ve done a lot of work together and we always feel energized when the day is done.

City of Hope Cancer Center
City of Hope is recognized worldwide for its compassionate patient care, innovative science and translational research, which rapidly turns laboratory breakthroughs into promising new therapies. An independent biomedical research, treatment and education institution, City of Hope is a leader in the fight to conquer cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.
City of Hope Cancer Center has long been at the forefront of discovering powerful new ways to diagnose and treat cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Here, some of the world's most knowledgeable physicians, researchers, scientists and health care professionals have quietly joined forces with generous donors to not just treat – but one day cure – cancers that affect adults and children around the world.
The Hardware/Home Improvement Industry is a major force in supporting the research and treatment programs conducted at City of Hope. To date, our industry contributions have exceeded $126 million, making us City of Hope's premier industry support group.
ProBuild has been a strong supporter of City of Hope for many years. We’re perennial participants in their retailer-hosted golf tournaments, the Product Donation Program, Walk For Hope, endowments, Workplace Giving and cause-related marketing. Because of our ongoing efforts, we were recently honored by City of Hope as a leader of industry through its "Heroes of the Hardware Industry" campaign.

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.
Habitat for Humanity's mission of providing decent, affordable housing and their philosophy of self-help closely matches our business focus and values. Since establishing a partnership with twenty-seven local chapters of Habitat for Humanity in 1992, ProBuild has consistently increased our support to a much larger number of chapters nationwide.
We're very proud of our relationship with Habitat for Humanity. Through employee volunteer efforts, as well as personal contributions, we’ve developed deep relationships among our employees, the Habitat chapters, and the recipient families who never fail to inspire us.
Habitat for Humanity International started in 1976 in Americus, Georgia as the dream of Millard Fuller. Its mission is to provide decent, affordable housing to every family in America. To qualify for a home, families must go through a careful application and selection process. The family must then complete 250 “sweat equity” hours per capable adult, working on either their own or another Habitat home. Upon moving in, the family is supported by a Habitat Family Nurturer for the first six months. The home is paid for through an interest free mortgage the proceeds of which help fund future projects.

Home Aid
HomeAid is a leading national non-profit provider of housing for today's homeless. The organization builds and renovates multi-unit homes for America's temporarily homeless while they rebuild their lives.
HomeAid has provided housing for more than 80,000 individuals who have been rendered temporarily homeless due to circumstances beyond their control, including:
• Abused children
• Victims of domestic violence
• At-risk teens
• People living with HIV/AIDS
• Those who are temporarily out of work
• Victims of natural disasters and other catastrophes
Through the generosity of America's builders, their trade partners, financial institutions, and the public, HomeAid has built more than 150 multi-unit homes with an additional 62 in development.
Although our mission gives us broad latitude to engage in building projects across the entire continuum of care, from emergency shelters to transitional housing to permanent supportive housing, every HomeAid project includes support services that help residents move toward self-sufficiency, such as education and job skills training, physical and emotional support, etc.
